Understanding Special Texts

Label

A label is a piece of information attached to a product. It tells us about the product's name, ingredients, how to use it, expiry date, and more.

📋 Parts of a Label:

• Product name – What the product is called
• Ingredients/Contents – What is inside
• Net weight – How much/heavy it is
• Directions/Instructions – How to use it
• Expiry date – When it's no longer safe to use
• Manufacturer – Who made it

Example: Food Label

Spicy Noodle

Net Weight: 85g

Ingredients: Wheat flour, palm oil, salt, chili powder, spices

Directions: Boil noodles for 3 minutes. Add seasoning. Stir well.

Memo

A memo (memorandum) is a short written message used inside an organization or school to share information, instructions, or reminders.

• Subject – The topic
• Body/Message – The main information

Notice

Receipt

A receipt is a written proof that you have paid for something. You get it after buying goods or paying for services.

• Price – How much each item costs
• Total – The total amount paid
• Payment method – Cash, card, or digital
